Kyes-Sage Used Book Shop

The Friends of the Library operate a bookshop located directly next to the Town Library in the historical Kyes-Sage House. The shop sells a broad selection of fiction, biographies, history, and children’s books. We sometimes have older, perhaps collectable, books and welcome book dealers.

Donation Information: 

To ensure donations meet our criteria (see below) volunteers screen all incoming books, so we ask that books only be brought to the bookshop (and not the Library) during bookshop open hours.

Book Donation Guidelines

We take:
• Adult fiction—including fantasy, humor, mysteries, and science fiction
• Adult nonfiction-- Biographies, memoir, and histories only
• Children’s fiction and non-fiction
• Graphic Novels

We do not take:
• Books that are stained or carry an odor of must, mildew or smoke
• Books with missing front covers, markups, tears, etc.
• Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Magazines
• Abridged versions or condensed books or advance readers’ copies/uncorrected proofs
•Library discards
•Romance
•Adult non-fiction other than biographies, memoirs, and history (no cookbooks, please)
